SPENCERPORT: Fatal Crash Kills One Person At Location Where Traffic Light Was Out Due to Power Outage

TRAFFIC LIGHT OUT AT SCENE OF FATAL ACCIDENT

SPENCERPORT, NEW YORK (May 10, 2017) – A  one-car collision killed a driver on East Houston Street, according to WHEC.

There is an ongoing investigation into the root cause of the crash. The police are still trying to identify the driver involved in the crash.

It appears as though one of the lights at the traffic intersection may have been out due to a power outage.

There may be liability on the part of the city if the accident was caused by a malfunctioning traffic light.

Authorities are unsure about the name of the person that died in the crash.
