MANHATTAN: Aurora Beauchamp Hospitalized After Tragic Bus Accident on East Houston Street

MTA BUS DRIVER ARRESTED AFTER CRASH LEAVES WOMAN IN CRITICAL CONDITION

MANHATTAN, NEW YORK (March 10, 2017) – The New York Daily News is reporting that a bus accident left a cancer patient seriously injured.

The pedestrian accident took place around 9:00 AM on Monday. Police have been able to identify the woman that was hit by the bus as Aurora Beauchamp.

Aurora Beauchamp is a cancer patient and was visiting Manhattan from Florida. The victim suffered multiple injuries in the crash including broken ribs, a broken hip and internal bleeding.

Police arrived at the scene and arrested the driver of the MTA Bus for failing to yield.

However, some have said that problems with the traffic lights may have contributed to the accident. This isn’t the first accident in the area involving an MTA bus and a pedestrian.

The RMFW Law Firm were deeply saddened to learn about this horrific accident. We call upon the police and city officials to investigate this accident thoroughly and take the steps necessary to make that something like this does not happen again.
