WOODBURY: Freeway Accident Involving Multiple Cars Leads To One Fatality

ONE PERSON KILLED IN MULTI VEHICLE CRASH AFTER CAR HITS GUARDRAIL

WOODBURY, NEW YORK (February 26, 2017) – A crash on the Long Island Expressway left one person killed and another with a serious head injury, according to ABC 7 NEWS.

Police are saying that one of the two vehicles hit a guardrail. The passenger in that car was ejected from the vehicle.

The passenger was taken to a hospital but was later pronounced dead due to their injuries.

Authorities will continue to investigate the crash in order to determine liability. There may be liability on the part of the guardrail manufacturer.

A guardrail that doesn’t sufficiently mitigate the impact of a crash may be structurally defective. Trinity Industries has faced a slew of lawsuits over defective guardrails.
