UPPER WEST SIDE: Pedestrian Killed In Fatal Truck Accident Near Amsterdam Avenue

ELDERLY MAN KILLED IN BOX TRUCK ACCIDENT WHILE CROSSING STREET

UPPER WEST SIDE, NEW YORK (February 24, 2017) – An 83-year old man was killed as he was crossing the street near Amsterdam Avenue when he was hit by a box truck, according to NBC New York.

There is no word yet on what may have caused the accident. The driver of the semi-truck stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.

Emergency medical workers rushed to the scene of the accident and rushed the victim to the hospital.

The NYPD’s collision investigation squad is still trying to piece together what happened.
