ELDERLY MAN KILLED IN BOX TRUCK ACCIDENT WHILE CROSSING STREET

UPPER WEST SIDE, NEW YORK (February 24, 2017) – An 83-year-old was tragically killed in a box truck accident on Friday morning, according to NBC New York.

Authorities are still working to identify the victim that was killed. The man was crossing the street near Amsterdam Avenue and West 95th Street. It was about 6:00 a.m. at the time of the collision.

Police have been able to identify the truck that hit the man as a 2004 Freightliner box truck.

The 56-year-old that was driving the truck stopped at the scene and cooperated with police.

Paramedics too the elderly man to the St. Luke’s Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
