QUEENS: Rakesh Ram Killed in Forklift Accident at Napa Auto Parts After Being Pinned By Van

FREAK ACCIDENT WITH FORK LIFT KILLS CONSTRUCTION WORKER

QUEENS, NEW YORK (February 24, 2016) –  A 28-year-old construction worker was killed after a freak accident involving a forklift that may have malfunctioned, according to NY Daily News.

Authorities have been able to identify the worker as Rakesh Ram. Rakesh Ram was operating the forklift and then put the forklift into neutral.

After he exited the vehicle the got between the forklift and a van. The forklift began rolling forward and pinned him to the van.

Authorities are continuing to investigate what happened. The forklift may have malfunctioned, but that has not yet been determined.

Police are saying that  Rakesh Ram was working for Napa Auto Parts at the time of the accident.
