MAIL TRUCK MAY BE LIABLE FOR DEADLY ACCIDENT ROSLYN HEIGHTS, NEW YORK (July 22, 2016)
News 12 Long Island is reporting that a 54-year-old man from Sands Point has died after a United States Postal Service (USPS) Mail Truck crashed into his car as he was pulled over to the shoulder of the Long Island Expressway. Police have been able to identify the man that was killed in the collision as Mark Feldman. Emergency medical workers rushed to the scene of the accident but were unable to revive him. He was later pronounced dead. Mark Feldman pulled over to the side of the highway after his car got a flat tire in Old Westbury. Once he exited his vehicle he was struck by the semi-truck. Authorities temporarily closed the expressway as they continued to look into the crash that killed Feldman.
