23 people injured in tour bus accident

A tour bus bound for New York City overturned recently, leaving 23 people with injuries.

The bus accident happened around 7:40 a.m. along Interstate 80 in Wayne Township, New Jersey. Officials say the accident happened as the bus was nearing an exit ramp.

Fifty-seven people were on the bus at the time of the accident. Close to two dozen people were taken to nearby hospitals. Fortunately, none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.

The bus left from Toronto. Reports indicate that passengers were planning to attend a church event in Brooklyn.

Authorities are trying to determine what caused the tour bus to overturn. As they do, they may find that the driver of the bus or another driver on the road was negligent. If that is the case, passengers who suffered injuries may have cause to file a personal injury lawsuit.

Although officials do not believe any passengers suffered life-threatening injuries that does not mean that their injuries were not serious. Victims may be forced to endure surgery and rehabilitation. Their injuries may prevent them from working. However, compensation that is obtained through a personal injury lawsuit can be used to cover medical expenses and lost wages.

Accidents of any kind are usually not intentional. However, drivers must be vigilant in order to prevent tragic accidents. Bus drivers must be particularly careful, especially when they are carrying passengers.

Someone who has been injured in a bus accident may feel overwhelmed. Because of that, it is often wise to rely on an experienced personal injury attorney.

I referred Rosenberg, Minc, Falkoff & Wolff to a friend needing help with a birth injury & medical malpractice case. Having worked with founding partner Daniel Minc myself on a car accident case, I was sure they would be able to deliver results.
